Branches 15-20 cm [as '6-8 in.'] long, sparsely hispid; leaves subsessile, 1 by 0.3 in., ovate-oblong, obtuse, entire almost rounded at the base, hispid-ciliate on the margins or nearly glabrate; flowers solitary, axillary, or pedicels hardly 0.125 in. long; bracteoles (or rather floral leaves) 0.75 by 0.17 in., linear-lanceolate, ciliate with clustered hairs on the margins; anticous calyx-segment 0.5 by nearly 0.7 in., oblong, bifid at the tip into 2 teeth 0.1 in. long; posticous sepal 0.5 by 0.125 in., narrow-lanceolate, ciliate on the margins; corolla 0.3-1 in. in total length; pollen globose, honeycombed; ovary glabrous.
