Bracts narrowly oblong or lanceolate, 9.5-15 x 2-4 mm; bracteoles linear-lanceolate, 7-12.5 x 1-2 mm. Anterior calyx lobe ovate or rounded, 12.5-18.5 x 6-13 mm, base obtuse or shortly attenuate, margin tightly involute, folded around posterior lobe, apex very shortly divided, two spinulose tips parallel or ± divergent; posterior lobe with margin involute. Corolla bright (rarely pale) blue or purple, 27-40 mm long; tube 11-14 mm long, shorter than lobes.
