Characteristics

Plants to 230 mm tall; basal leaf solitary, sessile, broadly cordate or orbicular with a cordate base, 10-40 x 8-20 mm. Inflorescences with the bracts spathaceous, oblong-lanceolate, subacute, pubescent, 9-12 mm long. Flowers with pale mauve petals and lip and greenish sepals. Sepals shallowly cucullate, lanceolate, subacute, pubescent, 6-12 mm long, slightly recurved. Petals linear-lanceolate, narrowly acuminate, 8-14 mm long, recurved. Lip spreading, fan-shaped, up to 35 x 30 mm, divided into 4-6 lobes with up to 26 filiform segments; spur down-curved, narrowly conical, 8-12 mm long. Anther clavate, to about 10 mm long; rostellum c. 2 mm tall.
