Cymes 1–2-flowered; peduncle 1–2 cm. long, hirsute; bracteoles c. 5 mm. long, linear, hairy.
Sepals 5, up to 14 × 2·5 mm., hairy outside, glabrous inside, obtuse at the apex, 3-nerved.
Stamens 5, with the filaments c. 4·5 mm. long and sagittate anthers c. 4·5 × 0·6 mm.
Outer corona with a tube c. 2·5 mm. high and threads c. 3·75 mm.
Perennial, erect villous herb, arising from a woody rootstock.
