Characteristics

Shrub to 2 m high, viscid; young branchlets glabrous, tuberculate. Leaves alternate, linear, 25–60 mm long, 0.8–1.5 (–2.1) mm wide; base cuneate; margin revolute or recurved to midrib concealing abaxial surface; apex slightly recurved, acute, apiculate; adaxial surface glabrous, tuberculate. Inflorescences on peduncles up to 1.5 mm long. Male flowers: androecium 3.5–6.2 mm long; stamens 30–45. Female flowers subsessile; calyx lobes elliptic to oblong-elliptic, 2.9–3.6 mm long, glabrous abaxially, with margins fimbriate; ovary glabrous. Fruit narrowly ellipsoid, 7–7.5 mm long, glabrous, 1-seeded; persistent calyx lobes longer than the fruit.
