Characteristics

Shrub to 1.5 m high, thinly viscid; young branchlets glabrous or rarely sparsely stellate-pubescent on young shoots, glabrescent, tuberculate. Leaves alternate, linear to lorate, 15–27 mm long, 1.5–2.6 mm wide; base cuneate; margin recurved or revolute to midrib concealing abaxial surface; apex recurved, rounded; adaxial surface glabrous, tuberculate. Inflorescences on peduncles up to 1 mm long. Male flowers: androecium 5.5–7 mm long; stamens 40–80. Female flowers sessile; calyx lobes elliptic to oblong-elliptic or ovate, 4.7–5.1 mm long, glabrous abaxially, with margins entire; ovary glabrous. Fruit ellipsoid, 7.5–8.2 mm long, glabrous, 1-or 2-seeded; persistent calyx lobes usually longer than fruit.
