Characteristics

Spreading much-branched shrub to 1 m high, resinous on most parts. Young branchlets ± angular, longitudinally grooved, glabrous. Leaves narrowly oblong to linear, 10–16 mm long, 1.3–2.3 mm wide; apex rounded or obtuse, ultimately with apiculum 0.3–0.6 mm long; abaxial surface densely hairy with ± sessile, stellate hairs up to 0.6 mm across. Flowers axillary, solitary, pedicellate; pedicels 2–6 mm long (♂, ♀), sparsely hairy proximally with minute erect glandular hairs c. 0.05 mm long. Male flowers: receptacle 0.9–1.1 mm across, minutely hairy; stamens c. 15. Female flowers: calyx lobes accrescent, suborbicular to very broadly ovate, 1.4–2 mm long (2–3 mm long in fruit); ovary glabrous, 3-locular; stigma discoid. Fruit subglobose, 3.5–4 mm long, glabrous; persistent calyx lobes 1/2 to 2/3 of fruit length.
