Capitula in lax terminal cymes; peduncle to 8 cm long; involucre 7–15 mm long; outer phyllaries 8(–13), green, sparsely hairy, inner phyllaries yellow to orange with scarious margins, glabrous or nearly so; paleae 6–10 mm long, brown.. Ray florets yellow or golden yellow, neuter, 6–8, rays 20–30x6–12 mm; disc florets yellow or brown, 3.5–5 mm long..
