Shrub 1.2 m high; stems erect, glabrous.. Leaves bipinnatisect, 2–7 cm long, 1–4 cm wide, segments filiform to linear, 0.4–1 mm wide, apex acute, glabrescent; petiole to 25 mm long.. Capitula in lax terminal cymes; peduncle 1–3 cm long; involucre 5–7 mm long; outer phyllaries 8, glabrous or nearly so, inner phyllaries 7–8; paleae pale brown, 5–6 mm long.. Ray florets yellow, 7–8, rays 12–15 mm long; disc florets yellow, 5–5.5 mm long.. Achenes grey or black, oblong-obovoid, 4–4.5 mm long, outer surface hispid, inner glabrous, with corky wings; aristae 2, yellow, 2–2.5 mm long, densely antrorsely barbed.
