Leaves ovate in outline, 1–2-pinnatipartite, 3–14 cm long, 1–8 cm wide, pinnae lanceolate, apex indurate-apiculate, with sparsely ciliate margins and puberulous on veins, densely glandular-punctate.. Capitula solitary, terminal, peduncle 4–16 cm long; involucre 5–7 mm long; outer phyllaries 6–8, green, glabrous or sparsely hairy, inner phyllaries orange; paleae 4.5 mm long, yellow, striped.. Ray florets yellow, neuter, 8, the rays 10–15x4–5 mm; disc florets yellow, tubular, 3–4 mm long.. Achenes black, cylindrical, compressed, 4.5–7.5 mm long, setose; aristae yellow, to 2 mm long, retrorsely barbed near the apex.
