Characteristics

Perennial herb with a thickened woody rootstock.. Leaves in 1(–3) rosettes ± at ground-level, 2–12 cm. long, 4–10-jugate, sensitive; rhachis pubescent; leaflets obliquely subcircular, 2–8 mm. long, 2–7.5 mm. wide, the largest in the middle, rounded to bluntly pointed at the apex, truncate at the dase, with many lateral nerves which form an acute angle with the midrib, glabrous except for the ciliate margin.. Flowers yellow, in 3–8-flowered pedunculate pseudumbels; peduncles short, 1–3.5 cm. long, glandular pubescent.. Sepals narrowly lanceolate, 6–7 mm. long, 6–8 nerved, glandular pubescent.. Petals spathulate, 7–8 mm. long, glabrous.. Filaments almost free to the base; short filaments 1 mm. long, the long ones 2.5 mm. long..
