Characteristics

Erect shrub to 3 m high. Branches stellate-tomentose. Stellate hairs with rays to 0.1 (–0.25) mm long. Leaves sessile, narrowly elliptic, 14–60 mm long, 2–6 mm wide, strongly attenuate at base, acute; adaxial surface glabrous or with few hairs along midrib. Inflorescence 1 (–3)-flowered; peduncle 0.5 mm long; pedicel 2–4 mm long. Sepals 3 mm long, 1.5 mm wide, acuminate to acute. Petals 4.5–5 mm long, pink to white; adaxial surface glabrous or with few simple hairs. Stamens: filaments pilose; anthers apiculum absent. Style glabrous. Cocci glabrous.
