Characteristics

Erect, woody shrub to 1 m high, nearly glabrous to puberulous. Branchlets glandular-verrucose; decurrent leaf bases present. Leaves 3–17-foliolate, 5–30 mm long, 3–16 mm wide; petiole and rachis segments 1.5–6 mm long; leaflets elliptic to obovate to spathulate to broadly spathulate, 1–9.5 mm long, 0.5–3.5 mm wide, entire to minutely crenate, discolorous. Inflorescences terminal and axillary, 1–9-flowered; peduncle and pedicels 2–7 mm long. Sepals deltate to narrowly triangular, 1–3 mm long, ciliate. Petals 4–12 mm long, pink; abaxial surface glabrous or pilose only near margins. Stamens: filaments pilose, glandular-verrucose towards apex; anther-apiculum absent or present, glabrous or with a few hairs. Ovary and style with a few hairs; stigma minute.
