Characteristics

Erect shrub to 3 m high, glabrous apart from perianth. Leaves sessile, elliptic, 23–55 mm long, 12–20 mm wide, cuneate to slightly cordate at base, acute. Peduncle 2–4 mm long; pedicel 0.5–3 mm long. Sepals deltate, 5.5–6 mm long, c. 3 mm wide (to 9–13 mm long and 4.5–6 mm wide when in fruit), green. Petals 4–5 mm long, pale yellow; abaxial surface with minute, moderately dense stellate indumentum. Stamens: antipetalous filaments ±glandular. Cocci c. 6 mm long; seed not seen.
