More
Leaves alternate; petiole 1.5–5.5(8) cm. long, slender, deeply canaliculate; lamina 5–11(14) x 2–6(8) cm., lanceolate or ovate to oblong-obovate, acute to rounded but usually apiculate at apex, acute to obtuse and very often asymmetrical at base, with entire margins, papery to almost leathery, brown and ochre-coloured when dry, with 6–9 secondary nerves on each side of the midrib, net-veined.
Flowers arranged in pedunculate, bracteate, lax, terminal but apparently lateral panicles or corymbs (2.5)4–10 cm. long, with spreading branches; peduncle, rhachis, branches and bracts (falling) sometimes with scattered short hairs; pedicels short, joined at the apex.
