Leaves tending to persist at the apex of the twiglets, ovate lanceolate to widely elliptic, 3.5-5.0 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, acute at the apex, acute at the base, the costa subplane above and beneath, the lateral veins 3-6, strongly ascending and ar-cuate, glabrate, chartaceous, discolorous, brown above, greenish beneath; peti-oles slender, to 3 mm long; stipules triangular with 3-5 subulate processes, the median process more elongate, often longer than the body.
