Monoicum; compactum humile brevissime ramulosum tenellum sordidum; folia caulina humore et siccitate conferta, parum patentia, e basi parum impressa cordata ovato-lanceolata acuminata, pro plantulae exiguitate latiuscula, carinata, margine erecto ubique denticulato, infima basi parum convexo, nervo tenui ultra medium evanido, cellulis angustis densis pellucidis, alaribus ad basin paucis minutissime quadratis griseis; perich. e basi late vaginante enervi laxe reticulata superne emarginato-dentata in acumen reflexiusculum denticulatum protracta; theca in pedunculo longiusculo tenui rubente laevi inclinata oblonga cernua parva ore constricta, humore aequalis, badia haud nitida, operculo et perist. H. velutini.
