Characteristics

Plants often forming long, slender strands. Rhizomes c. 4 mm wide, attached closely to host, long-creeping, very brittle, covered with brown bracts. Pseudobulbs widely spaced on rhizomes, appressed, inconspicuous, 5–7 × 3–4 mm, covered by bracts. Leaves 25–35 × 15–30 mm, fleshy, dark green. Racemes erect, 60–100 mm long, very thin, widening near apex, 10–25-flowered in a short, dense head c. 10 mm across. Flowers not opening widely, 3–3.5 × 3 mm, pink to reddish with conspicuous dark red stripes and yellow tips. Dorsal sepal c. 3.5 × 1.8 mm. Lateral sepals c. 3.5 × 2 mm. Petals c. 3 × 1 mm. Labellum narrowly heart-shaped, c. 1.5 × 1 mm, fleshy, deeply channelled, with numerous small papillae.
