Plants growing as strands or small, crowded clumps. Pseudobulbs globe-like, 1–2 × 1–2 mm, pale green. Leaves scale-like, 1–1.5 mm long. Flower stems erect, thread-like, 10–15 mm long. Ovary irregularly corrugated. Flower 2.5–3 × 3–4 mm, cream with a yellow labellum (rarely red with a cream labellum). Sepals and petals spreading widely. Dorsal sepal c. 3 × 2 mm. Lateral sepals c. 3 × 2 mm. Petals c. 2 × 0.5 mm. Labellum c. 2 × 1 mm, curved, fleshy, base grooved.
Highly localised; growing only on the scaly bark of hoop pines, usually fairly high on the trunk, and also on larger branches (upper and lower surfaces).
