Characteristics

Epiphytic or lithophytic herb; pseudobulbs borne 3–4 cm apart on a woody rhizome, 2(3)-leaved, 2–3.5 × 1–1.5 cm, ellipsoid or ovoid, 4–5-angled with knobbly edges, greenish-yellow flushed with purple.

Inflorescence erect, up to 22 cm long; peduncle 5–12 cm long, with 2–3 tubular sheathing bracts; rhachis 6–10 cm long, not swollen, densely many-flowered.
Dorsal sepal c. 4 × 2.5 mm, ovate, acute; lateral sepals 4 × 1 mm, lanceolate, acute, curling back.
Flowers distichous; sepals mustard-yellow, petals pinkish, lip purple.
