Characteristics

Stems 100–400 mm long, rooting at base, on old plants stems dangling with apex upcurved. Rhizomes c. 4 mm wide, clothed with brown scales. Pseudobulbs 10–15 × 2–3 mm, partially hidden by bracts. Leaves 40–80 × 10–18 mm, bright green, shiny, thin-textured, shallowly channelled, often curved. Flower stems thread-like, 6–10 mm long, arising from among rhizome scales. Flowers 3–4 × 4–5 mm, pink, cream or yellow with red or purple stripes (rarely unstriped), labellum red and yellow to orange. Dorsal sepal 4–5 × 1.5–2 mm. Lateral sepals 4–5 × 2–2.5 mm. Petals c. 2 × 1 mm. Labellum c. 3 × 1 mm, fleshy, curved, undersurface with numerous fine, wavy hairs.
