Characteristics

Plants epiphytic, with long rhizomes 2-3 mm in diameter; pseudobulbs ovoid to narrowly conical, 4-5 angled, 30-50 mm apart, 20-40 x 10 mm; leaves 2 per pseudobulb, suberect, coriaceous to subfleshy, lorate to elliptic-oblong, rounded, emarginate, 25-100 x 10-17 mm. Inflorescences an erect, 100-150 mm tall, 6-16-flowered spike; peduncle slender, sheaths obtuse-apiculate, 5-12 mm long, distant; rhachis swollen, flattened; bracts papery, acute, 5 mm long. Flowers borne in 2 rows, dull violet or green with purplish dots. Sepals papillose, unequal; median concave, curved, 8 x 1 mm; laterals triangular, acute, apiculate, 3.5-5 x 2.5-3 mm, apiculus 1.5 mm long. Petals linear, curved, apex subclavate, 5-7 x 0.1 mm. Lip fleshy, ovate, 3 x 2 mm. Gynostemium winged, 3 mm long. Capsules ellipsoid, 12 x 5 mm.
