Characteristics

Leaf linear-lanceolate, 100–200 × 7–10 mm, green, hairy, often withered at flowering time. Flower stem 200–500 mm tall, hairy, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 40–50 mm across, yellow to pale greenish yellow; sepals with reddish brown to brown flattened clubs 3–14 mm long (sometimes clubs absent); petals sometimes with short clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 30–55 × 3–3.5 mm, incurved. Lateral sepals spreading stiffly or downcurved, tips decurved, 30–55 × 3.5–5 mm, widely divergent. Petals similarly arranged, 25–40 × 2.5–3 mm. Labellum ovate, obscurely 3-lobed, 12–16 × 7–9 mm, cream to yellow, often with a red apex; margins with clubbed teeth to 3 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli 4, c. 2 mm long, erect. Lamina calli to 1.5 mm long, reddish, in 4 or 6 rows to base of midlobe. Column 11–13 × 4–5 mm, greenish yellow with red markings; basal glands c. 2.2 mm long, ovoid, yellow.
