Characteristics

Leaf turgid at flowering time, 20–30 × 5–12 mm, broadly ovate-elliptical, dark green above, dark red beneath. Flower stem 100–160 mm, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers c. 15–20 × 7–8 mm, greenish with red suffusions and markings, labellum reddish, calli black. Dorsal sepal 10–12 × 1 mm. Lateral sepals c. 10 × 1 mm, kinked towards apex. Petals c. 10 × 0.5 mm. Labellum obliquely erect when set; labellum strap 3–5 × 2 mm; labellum lamina shallowly humped in side view, broadly flask-shaped from above, 9–11 × 4–5 mm, widest just above base then tapered, apical third densely covered with shiny black calli; basal lobe short, blunt, projected back in same plane as labellum. Column c. 10 mm long.
