Characteristics

Leaf turgid at flowering time, 12–20 × 4–8 mm, ovate, upper surface dark green suffused with red and with darker veins, dark red beneath. Flower stem 70–110 mm, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 10–15 × 6–8 mm, yellowish green with reddish suffusions, labellum red with black calli. Dorsal sepal 7–10 × 1 mm. Lateral sepals 7–10 × 1 mm, kinked towards apex. Petals 7–10 × 0.5 mm. Labellum obliquely erect when set (often set at steep angle); labellum strap 4–5 × 2–2.5 mm; labellum lamina flat in side view, broadly flask-shaped from above, 9–10 × 2–2.5 mm, widest above base then tapered, apical half drawn out with more or less parallel sides, densely covered with shiny black calli; basal lobe pointed, projected back in same plane as labellum. Column 7–9 mm long.
