Annual or possibly short-lived perennial herb. Stems prostrate or decumbent. Leaves oblong-linear to spathulate, 5–12 mm long, sessile. Pedicels 1–2 mm long. Calyx 5–6 mm long; lobes linear-spathulate, the intersepalar membranes distinct. Corolla funnel-shaped, slightly exceeding calyx-lobes, bluish-purple; limb shallowly lobed. Stamens on filaments 3–4 mm long; anthers 0.5 mm long. Style 3–4 mm long, bent at apex. Capsule 3–5 mm long, much exceeded by calyx-lobes. Seeds subglobular, c. 0.5 mm diam., pale brown.
