Characteristics

Shrubs ca. 2 m tall; petioles and inflorescences sparsely stellate tomentose. Branchlets gray-yellow. Petiole 1.5-2 cm; leaf blade elliptic to ovate-elliptic, 10-14 X 4-6 cm, abaxially small yellow glandular, adaxially glabrous or subglabrous, base cuneate to obtuse, margin subentire to subserrate, apex acute to acuminate. Cymes 2-4 cm across; peduncle as long as petioles. Calyx cup-shaped, truncate, glabrous. Fruit dark brown when dry, ca. 3 mm in diam., glabrous. Fl. early summer.
