Characteristics

Divaricately much-branched, perennial shrub, 1.2-1.6(-2.5) m high; spiny, very rigid; twigs finely tomentose, sericeous. Leaves unifoliolate, rarely trifoliolate, flattish, few and distant, obovate to widely obovate. Flowers bright yellow, spread along pungent branchlets. Calyx: tube widely campanulate; teeth very short and broad, almost absent. Flowering time Sept.-Dec. Pod white-tomentose.
