Characteristics

Plants apparently leafless, wholly yellowish green. Flower stem 150–400 mm tall, very thin, wiry, 1–4-flowered. Flowers not opening, appearing as plump buds, held at right angles to flower stem for about 1 day then quickly becoming erect, 6–7 × 4–6 mm, pale green to yellowish green with faint reddish lines. Dorsal sepal broadly ovate, c. 6 × 5 mm. Lateral sepals narrowly ovate-lanceolate, c. 7 × 3 mm. Petals narrowly ovate-lanceolate, c. 5 × 2 mm. Labellum undivided, oblong-lanceolate when flattened, c. 6 × 2.4 mm, pale green with 3 faint, reddish lines, lacking papillae; apex pointed. Column c. 3 mm long, green, wrinkled, without sham eyes or anterior ridge.
