Characteristics

Leaf fully developed at flowering, 100–180 × 4–8 mm. Flower stem 200–300 mm tall, wiry, 1–5-flowered. Flowers lasting 2–4 days, 25–30 × 20 mm; sepals and petals pale green to greenish yellow; petals boldly marked with red lines; labellum papillae coppery red. Dorsal sepal porrect, 13–16 × 8–9 mm. Lateral sepals divergent, 13–16 × 5–6 mm, margins incurved. Petals porrect, 8–9 mm × 5–6 mm. Labellum flat in profile, 28–30 × 6–7 mm, obovate to elliptic in outline; basal part with short red papillae; main part with coarse papillae to 6 mm long; apical tail 12–17 mm long, glandular, sinuous; labellum margins with numerous linear, glandular and eglandular lobes to 5 mm long. Column 5–6 × 4 mm, with 2 blackish sham eyes, but no connecting ridge.
