Leaf fully developed at flowering, 80–200 × 3–5 mm, dark green, slightly pruinose. Flower stem 120–420 mm tall, 1–7-flowered. Flowers lasting 2–4 days, 17–23 × 10–12 mm; sepals and petals greenish to greenish yellow with reddish stripes; labellum with reddish purple to purple papillae. Dorsal sepal porrect to obliquely erect, 7–10 × 6–8 mm, concave, incurved over column. Lateral sepals widely divergent, 7–10 × 3.5–4 mm, apex acuminate. Petals ovate, 4–5 × 3–4 mm, incurved to spreading. Labellum flat in profile, 12–17 × 6–8 mm, ovate-lanceolate in outline; basal part with short purple papillae; central part with thin papillae to 3 mm long; apical part with a sinuous, densely glandular tail 2–3 × 1 mm; labellum margins with numerous thin, spreading, acuminate, glandular and eglandular lobes to 3 mm long. Column 3–4 × 3 mm, base with 2 dark sham eyes connected by a ridge.
Localised in a narrow band; found growing among ironstone outcrops and laterite concretions in thick layers of litter on slopes and ridges of small rocky hills in Eucalyptus wandoo woodland in freely draining, stony loam.
