Environment

Most of the few known populations are found in mountain localities, on higher parts including mountain tops, in open, sunny moist areas. The Old Settlement population on Lord Howe Island grows on a slope in amongst introduced Kikuyu grass on the edge of Drypetes/Cryptocarya forest. (Department of Environment and Climate Change (NSW) 2007: 126; Director of National Parks 2010: 81).
