Characteristics

A shrub which is much branched. it is about 1 m high. The leaves have 3 leaflets. The middle one can have a stalk but the other 2 do not. Leaflets are 1-2 cm long and oval. They have dense white hairs underneath. The flowers are pink or purple. They occur in spikes in the axils of leaves or at the tips of branches. The fruit is a pod. It is oval and has a beak. It is densely hairy.
