Well-branched shrub up to 1.5 m tall, stems thick, succulent, white-felted at first, glabrescent, branchlets closely leafy. Leaves up to 6 x 3 cm, obovate, apex blunt or subacute, mucronate, base narrowed, flat, petiole-like, margins entire to coarsely and irregularly toothed in the upper half, slightly undulate, succulent, both surfaces white-felted, glabrescent. Heads radiate, solitary or up to 4 corymbosely arranged on long (c. 15 cm), sparsely bracteate, white-felted terminal peduncles. Involucre campanulate, bracts c. 12, 12-15 mm long, about equalling the disc, white-felted, calyculus bracts few, very small. Rays c. 13, they and the disc bright yellow, corolla lobes with a median resinous line. Achenes c. 7 mm long, fusiform, with 5 stout ribs, glabrous.
