European-Japanese hybrid ripening midseason. Origin: INRA, France. (Bouche Rouge C. sativa × C. crenata CA04) O.P.; introd. to U.S. 1992. Tree: vigorous, growth habit upright; pollen sterile; performs well on Colossal rootstock; purportedly immune to Asian gall wasp (Dryocosmus kuriphilus). Fruit: : nuts large, 15-20 g; pericarp dark brown, peels well; flavor good; ripens midseason, slightly before Colossal.
