Lowest leaves deltoid-ovate, soon becoming deltoid-pandurate with broad blunt lateral lobes at the base, the lamina to ± 4.5 × 2.75 cm., the petiole 1.5–2 cm., upper leaves lanceolate-hastate with a narrower central lobe, the uppermost frequently linear with no basal lobes; small rounded and often falcate stipuliform leaves also subtending many stem and branch leaves.. Inflorescence terminal, 7.5 × 0.8 cm., a spiciform thyrse formed of compacted cymes ± 0.5 cm. in diameter, only the lowest cymes being slightly distant.. Bracts and bracteoles deltoid, very acute, ± 2 mm., white, scarious, glabrous, erose-denticulate above with an excurrent midrib.. Perianth-segments elliptic-oblong, 2.5–3 mm., obtuse, glabrous, white, 1-nerved with the midrib excurrent in a very short mucro, erose-denticulate above..
