Characteristics

Shrubs or small trees. Leaves petiolate or sessile, sometimes with glands, pinnately veined. Capitula radiate, pedunculate, calyculate; involucral bracts free. Florets: corolla limbs yellow, creamy white or white; anthers caudate or not; style branches obtuse to truncate, crowned by papillae, without terminal appendage. Achenes homomorphic, obloid to obovoid. Pappus ±persistent.
