Inflorescence a moderately dense, subspicate raceme, unbranched or with a single basal branch, 7–20 cm. long; rhachis subterete, angled, scabrid to shortly pubescent; floral bracts lanceolate, softly awned, red-ciliate on the margins, lower ones up to 15 mm. long.. Pedicels articulated at the apex, up to 3 mm. long in fruit, solitary at the nodes..
