Leaves distichous or nearly so, firm, filiform, clasping below, ciliate, 10–35 cm. long, 1–2 mm. wide.. Peduncle terete, ribbed.. Inflorescence unbranched; floral bracts small, dark brown, apiculate.. Pedicels articulated below the middle, 2–6 mm. long, 2–3-nate at the lower nodes.. Perianth white; tepals 7–10 mm. long, 5-veined, green, brown or rarely pinkish on the keel.. Stamens declinate, probably in 2+4 arrangement; filaments shorter than the anthers..
