Leaves radical as well as alternate (the cauline ones), slightly fleshy, glaucous beneath, ovate in outline, 2–3-pinnatifid, 1–5 cm long, 1–4 cm wide, the segments narrowly lanceolate to linear, apiculate; petiole 10–30 mm long, clasping the stem at base.. Capitula solitary or in few-headed cymes, but seemingly forming leafy panicles; peduncle to 6 cm long; involucre shortly cylindrical, 3–4 mm long; phyllaries with scarious margins and turning orange in fruit; paleae to 3 mm long.. Ray florets yellow or orange-yellow, ray 1–2.5 mm long, tube 0.5–0.7 mm long; disc florets (8–)13–34, yellow or orange, 0.8–1.8 mm long..
