Characteristics

Leaves simple; petiole up to 4·8 cm. long; leaf-lamina up to 8·5 × 9 cm., but usually smaller, broadly to very broadly ovate, obtuse or acute at the apex, margin minutely serrate with teeth up to 1 mm. in length, cordate to truncate at base, some of tertiary veins on under surface frequently slightly raised; stipules 1·5 × 1·5 mm., very broadly ovate, caducous.
