Leaves ovate, 4–10 cm. long, 2.5–7.5 cm. wide, shortly acuminate at the apex, cordate at the base, margin thin and yellowish in dry state, dentate with narrow subulate teeth, glabrous, thin, with obvious rhaphides when viewed by transmitted light; petiole 1.5–6.5 cm. long; stipules narrowly oblong, ± 4 mm. long, 1 mm. wide, ± obtuse at apex, cordate and ± produced at base, brownish scarious..
