Leaves simple, round to broadly oblong or rhombic, 4.5–13 cm. long, 3.5–12 cm. wide, apiculate at the apex, subcordate at the base, sometimes faintly 3-lobed, distinctly narrowly serrate, pubescent, particularly on venation beneath and with scattered shining black medifixed hairs particularly on undersurface; petiole 1–3.5 cm. long, pubescent; stipules triangular or oblong, 3 mm. long, 2 mm. wide, pubescent.. Flowers in usually trichotomous cymes; peduncle 2–6.5 cm. long, pubescent; pedicels 3–5 mm. long, lengthening to 1 cm., densely covered with shining black deciduous medifixed hairs; bracts and bracteoles ± ovate, 1.5 mm. long, pubescent.. Calyx brown, ± 1 mm. long, 2 mm. wide, entire, densely pubescent with white hairs and with scattered black medifixed hairs.. Petals green or yellow and brown, 1.5–2 mm. long, pubescent with white hairs beneath, and very densely covered with shining black medifixed hairs above.. Ovary with black medifixed hairs; style 0.5–1 mm. long.. Fruit compressed oblong-ovoid, 1 cm. long, 7 mm. wide, glabrous, rugose and ridged in the dry state.
