A woody climber. The stems are cylinder shaped. They are hairy when young. It has tendrils. The leaves are simple and 13 cm long. They are broadly oval. There are teeth along the edge. They are heart shaped at the base. The flowers are in loose groups. They have a white coating. The fruit are 10-15 mm long by 8 mm wide. There is one seed 10 mm long by 5 mm wide.
Cymes lax; whole inflorescence from peduncle to buds with a crisped white indumentum densely interspersed with shining black medifixed hairs; peduncle up to 10 cm. long; pedicels up to 7 mm. long, lengthening to 12 mm. in fruit.

Seed 1, 10 × 5 mm., with a strong dorsal crest and a lateral ridge on each side branching into smaller ridges.

Fruit 10–15 × 8 mm., ovoid, glabrescent.
Calyx up to 1 mm. long.
Flower-bud 2 mm. long.
