Deciduous climber or trailing shrub; stems purplish, ferruginous pubescent and with medifixed black hairs; older ones woody with longitudinally wrinkled brownish bark, glabrous.. Leaves ovate or triangular-ovate, 2.5–6.5 cm. long, 1.3–5 cm. wide, long-acuminate or cuspidate at the apex, truncate or shallowly emarginate at the base, closely denticulate with narrow subulate teeth, ± glabrous above except for short hairs on nervation and scattered medifixed black hairs, more densely pubescent on venation beneath and with more numerous black hairs; petiole 0.8–2.5 cm. long, with denser similar mixed indumentum; stipules rounded-ovate, ± 1.5 mm. long and wide.. Inflorescences leaf-opposed, 3–8 cm. long, with all axes with similar black and brown pubescence; ultimate umbel-like cymules ± 10-flowered; peduncles 1–4.5 cm. long; pedicels 2–8 mm. long; bracts and bracteoles similar to the stipules, 0.5–1 mm. long.. Buds ovoid, 2 mm. long, the corolla puberulous but tipped with rather longer pubescence and black medifixed hairs at apex.. Calyx cupular, 0.5–1 mm. long, shortly pubescent.. Petals yellow-green, oblong, 1.5 mm. long.. Ovary with dense black medifixed hairs.. Fruits unknown.
