Characteristics

Fruticulus 20-25 cm (vel ultra?) altus dense ramosus. Rami et ramuli in partibus junioribus porphyrei sparse tenuissime pilosi. vetustiores cortice lamellatim soluto obtecti; internodia 2-4 mm longa. Folia 3-foliolata; vagina 1.5 mm longa amplectens glabra vel subglabra: slipulae subulatae 1.2-1.5 mm longae; foliola 3-4 mm longa ± conspicue falcata acicularia apicibus in aculeum rubrum diaphanum exeuntia supra modice subtus bene convexa brevissime adpresse pilosa. Flores [female] sessiles; bracteae ca. 5 mm longae ampleclentes acuminatae scariosae; receptaculum (non plane maturum) 3.5 mm longum 1.2-1.4 mm crassum ovoideo-oblongum longitudinaliler sulcatum canescenti-rubiginosum; sepala 3, 1.5-1.7 mm longa anguste triangularia acuminata patentia-reflexa; stigma ca. 1 mm e receptaculo prominens densissime ramosum penicilliforme purpureum.
