Fruticulus; rami et ramuli elongati rubiginosi nitidi internodiis 10-20 mm longis praediti glabri laeves vel longitudinaliter leviter sulcati; ramuli abbreviati 3-15 mm longi vel interdum in ramos elongatos mutati dense foliati. Folia simplicia; vagina amplectens 4-6 mm longa parallelli-nervosa marginibus connata sat late membranaceo-marginata vel pro maxima parte scariosa viridis; stipulae 3-4(-5) mm longae lineares erectae cuspidatae glabrae; lamina (20-)40-60 mm longa 0.8-1.3 mm diam. subteres supra canaliculata aculeata leviter reticulato-nervosa. Flores [male] sessiles; bracteolae 4-5 mm longae amplectentes acutae glabrae; sepala 38-10 mm longa 1.7-2 mm lata lanceolata-lineari-lanceolata acuta prominenter nervosa viridia; stamina ca. 20; antherae 1.8-2 mm longae ovoideae purpureae; filamenta 10-13 mm longa subtilissima. Flores [female] sessiles-brevissime pedicellati; bracteolae 3-4 mm longae; receptaculum ca. 4 mm longum 1.5 mm crassum oblongum leviter sulcatum; sepala 3-3.5 mm longa ca. 1 mm lata erecta lanceolata acuta glabra viridia.
