Characteristics

Frutex 1-1.5-pedalis (e N. E. Brown) erectus ramosus. Rami et ramuli erecto-patentes, internodiis 5-10 mm longis, cortice pilosulo; ramuli abbreviati 1-3 mm longi 2-4-foliati. Folia 3-foliolata; vagina 0.5-1.2 mm longa amplectens extus pilosa ciliolata, stipulis 0.4-0.6 mm longis triangularibus; foliola subsimilia (foliolum medium lateralibus paulo longius) 3-8 mm longa 0.5-0.7 mm lata mucronata parce-dense pilosula, marginibus valde revolutis. Flores [male] sessiles vel pedicellis 1-1.5 mm longis instructi, bracteolae lanceolatae c. 2 mm longae acutae dense canescenti-pilosulae; sepala 3 vel 4 c. 3 mm longa ovato-oblonga acuta glabra; stamina 6-8, antheris 0.8-0.9 mm, filamentis 2.5-4 mm longis. Flores [female] pedicellis c. 1 mm longis pilosulis praediti; bracteolae ut in [male]; receptaculum alis duabus latis et costis duabus acutis munitum cum alis 5-8 mm longum 4-7 mm latum rotundato-ellipticum dense canescenti-pilosulum utroque latere costarum tumulis 4-5 verruciformibus praeditum; alae primo cano-pilosae deinde glabrae cinereo-violaceae-lilacinae scariosae; sepala 3 vel 4 c. 2 mm longa oblongo-spathulata stigma e receptaculo c. 1 mm prominens densum rubiginosum.
