Frutex ramosissimus, erectus 1-1 1/2 pedalis; ramulis glaberrimis teretibus, primum basibus foliorum mox deciduis vestitis, apicem versus dense foliatis; foliis subimbricatis, breviter petiolatis, trifoliolatis, foliolis carnosis subclavato-line-aribus, breviter apiculatis, dorso rotundato-carinatis, facie applanatis, concavulis, enerviis, basin versus paulo angustatis, marginibus subscabridis, glabris, glauce-scentibus, 0.2-0.3 cm longis; stipulis cum petiolo brevissimo lato et inter se connatis, anulum amplexicaulem formantibus, apicibus liberis brevibus, triangulari-subulatis, acutissimis, foliolis triplo fere brevioribus; setis nonnullis ad apicem petioli ad basin foliorum.

Male flowers: stamens 6; female flowers: receptacle narrowly oblong, slightly curved, 7(8)-ribbed with 2 ribs flattened and extended around base forming a continuous wing.
