Characteristics

Frutex vel arbuscula vel raro arbor, 3-5(-10) m alta (e Marloth.). Rami et ramuli murino-stellato-tomentosi, internodiis c. 1 cm longis; ramuli abbreviati 2-3 cm longi. Folia 3-foliolata; vagina amplectens 1-1.5 mm longa extus stellato-pilosa, stipulis exiguis; foliola inter se similia 1.5-2.5 cm longa 1-1.5 mm lata acuminata, marginibus revolutis, breviter stellato-pilosa. Flores [male] sessiles in axillis foliorum solitarii; bracteolae minutissimae 1-1.5 mm longae acutae extus pilosulae; sepala 3 spathulato-lanceolata 6-7 mm longa 3 mm lata subacuta glabra vel extus parce pilosa; stamina 6, antheris 1 mm, filamentis c. 7 mm longis. Flores [female] 5-8 in axillis foliorum simplicium fasciculati; bracteolae c. 1 mm longae dense ciliatae, pilis 3 mm longis; receptaculum 3 mm longum 1.2-1.4 mm crassum prismatico-oblongum sectione transversali triangulare, costis 3 altioribus et 3 minoribus, fuscum glabrum nitidum; sepala 3 erecta 3-3.5 mm longa 0.5 mm lata lineari-lanceolata acuta, parte dimidia superiore extus pilosa; stigma e receptaculo 7-8 mm prominens lineale parum ramulosum.
